Total Triage Coming Soon
Currently you contact us on line, on the telephone and in person at the front desk for patient care. From December, every patient including all those who come in or phone will be required to provide some information to the receptionist that will then go off to be triaged by a GP who will decide what the best course of action is; it is very important to provide detailed and accurate information about your symptoms to get the best outcome for you.
All patients will be prioritised in the same way. Our aim is to give everyone fair and equal access to care based around their personal needs.
Those that use on line services are already used to this and we would encourage you to sign up to the NHS App or use the link on the website (currently for eConsult), in December it will become Accurx. The feedback is unbelievably good so far. Please let us have your email address on your next contact.
Of course if you have no access to on line tools, you will not be disadvantaged but you will still need to give the same information and wait in the same way for GP to view your request. There is no longer any advantage to wait for the doors to open, you can engage with us from the comfort of your own home and with more privacy.
To those with a mobile phone we will be sending you the link to sign up to the NHS App, please feel free to use it and we will also have people available in the surgery to help you if you bring ID with you. More information will follow.
